MATT KENEVAN “the Beer Dabbler”

Matt is “the” Beer Dabbler. His entrepreneurial spirit and quest for making people happy brings beer to dabblers all over the map. Matt comes from Wisconsin where they are no strangers to beer. The idea of the Beer Dabbler was dreamt up in 2008 when Matt decided he wanted to serve as a catalyst to the craft beer discovery. Matt has very little free time though somehow he manages to squeeze in hunting, bocce ball, softball, non-profit organization board meetings, gardening, landscaping, wood-working, and time spent with his many friends, wife, son, and of course a dog named Porter.

JOE ALTON “the Brains”

Raised by wolves on the streets of the STP, Joe brings his love of great craft brew and experience in event management to The Beer Dabbler. Joe has been Matt’s right-hand man since the Dabbler’s early days. His professional background is in hospitality and restaurant management. A few of the roles in Joe’s Beer Dabbler province are consulting, quality control, environmental impact and event management. When not in beer, he dabbles in canoeing, camping, biking, fishing, hiking, live local music, traveling, food, and photography. Joe currently lives in St. Paul, MN with his faithful mutt — Sophie.

SOLENA VOGEL “the Glue”

Solena is rightfully considered “the glue” of the Beer Dabbler. She keeps us all sticking together. From marketing to meetings, contracts, updates and the front gate, she has her hands in it all. Solena brings many years of event planning experience to the table, most notably with the Cinco de Mayo planning committee on St. Paul’s West Side. Her favorite beer is the Belgian Style Golden Ale, number 4 from of the Summit Brewing Company’s “Unchained Series”. When she isn’t dabbling she’s traveling, practicing yoga, catching local live music, camping, going out for sushi and playing with her beer-loving pals.

JAIMEE LUCKE HENDRIKSON “the Newbie”

Jaimee is the newest member of The Beer Dabbler team. Besides her current role as Partnership Director here at Liquid 12 Festivals — Jaimee is also the acting President (and a board member) of the St. Paul Festival Association. Jaimee’s event experience is extensive. For more than 5 years, she was the Program Director at the Grand Avenue Business Association and oversaw operations and production of public events drawing upwards of 250,000 guests, including Grand Old Day. Though originally from Grand Forks, ND, Jaimee is as Minnesota as they come. She currently resides in St. Paul with her husband Jay and their beautiful daughter Parker.

MIKE HEMP “the Creative”

Mike has been working with the Beer Dabbler from the very beginning, from the first logo and website concepts. He takes care of all the marketing that’s designed and developed for the Dabbler. With a background of production and advertising he brings quick, creative concepts to the Beer Dabbler. When he isn’t designing, he’s laying low with his wife and two daughters, going on walks with the family and two dogs, fishing, playing softball and working on his house.

DAMON BAY “the Video Guy”

Damon video tapes the Beer Dabbler Festivals. Then he edits the footage into a coherent video that makes everyone want to attend the next Beer Dabbler. With over 15 years in video production, Damon brings lots of experience and creativity to the Beer Dabbler. Damon loves craft beer and tries to turn other people on to good beer as often as possible. When not drinking beer, Damon enjoys biking, camping, fishing, beer blogging, catching live music and working in his yard. Damon lives in St. Louis Park with his wife, two teen age kids and a black lab/mix named Sierra.
